Preamble
The students registered for various Higher, Technical and Arts Education courses
always are in need of information about their courses such as; curriculum,
administrative information, entrance examinations, employment and
self-employment potential etc. As this kind of information is not available
centrally as of now, the student needs to take efforts, invest money and his/her
precious time to collect this important information. Keeping in consideration
these basic requirements of the students it is necessary to provide various
electronic services (“e-services”) to the students by exploiting the advances in
the latest web technology.
These “e-services” if implemented in all the Universities and all the affiliated
colleges/recognized institutes of the respective Universities through Digital
University® framework will facilitate the students in cutting down their costs,
avoiding delays and inconvenience and to completely reengineer the traditional
processes in the overall interest of the students by exploiting the advances in
information technology.
As these e-services will be available to the students belonging to rural areas
along with urban areas, it can be made possible to offer equal career
opportunities to the students belonging to rural areas that are available to the
urban students and bridge the digital divide.
