Department of Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MC & IT), Government of India embodies the true spirit of indigenous high-end research and development for state-of-the art technologies and solutions. In a bid to attain technological competency in the evolving arena of Information and proliferate its inherent benefits towards the advancement of its citizen as well as society, C-DAC has mobilized its indigenous human and technical resources towards design, development and deployment of electronics and advanced Information Technology (IT) products and solutions. While C-DAC was being setup for the indigenous design, development and delivery of the supercomputing technologies for the country, the mandate given was to not only develop the supercomputing technologies in the shortest possible time but also continue to develop in the shortest possible time the high quality human resource, which will continue to develop such advanced technologies. This is the genesis of C-DAC, ACTS.
